Abstract :Parayazyk, functioning in conjunction with linguistic units, affects the volume and quality of transmitted information, as evidenced by observations of the behavior of interlocutors in the process of verbal communication. The article is devoted to the study of paralinguistic means of communication. In the article, non-verbal communication components are considered for the first time as part of the ritual under oaths, that vows are almost always accompanied by a certain ritual, observance of certain rules that included non-verbal components - significant movements and they were the main component of any ritual action. In the course of the research the author came to the conclusion that non-verbal components of communication are an integral part of the ritual of oath-making. In the article, examples illustrate the dynamics of changes in the rituals of taking vows from the time of our ancestors to the present day.
