Abstract :The article deals with the history of the spiritual and cultural life of the Azerbaijani people. Expands the medieval stage of the Sassanian era powers, the Arab Caliphate, the Mongol invasion. It analyzes the development of literature, art in these times, which is varied wealth of stories, originality, uniqueness. The author dwells on the `great poet Nizami, Nasimi, Fizuli, who left an indelible mark in the history of world culture.
