Abstract :Turkic stone statues are found widely in the Eurasian steppes. They have attracted many sholars` attentions from the 18th century, because they are unique figures of various cultural elements: religion, funeral rite, hair style, costume, weaponry, daily commodities ofthe Turks. There are several controversial problems about the Turkic stone statues: their origin, chronology, typology, meaning, relation with a square stone enclosure, ete. They are correlated with each other. We must study them synthetically. In this paper I would like to make clear how much these problems have been solved or not. In other words, I will summarize the scientifıc results and present situations about them.
