Abstract :İnsanlık tarihi boyunca, insanlar arası ilişkilerin, fiziksel mekana yansımasının yeni bir boyutu olan kent, çağımızda egemen yerleşme biçimidir. Kentlerdeki mahallelerin, mekanların çeşitli şekillerle ortaya çıkışları, her kenti, bir diğerinden ayırır. İlk çağlarda yerleşimde önemli etkenler “verimli toprak” ve “uygun doğal koşullar” idi.
