Abstract :Solving Hydro Unit Commitment problems is a challenge for real systems due to substantial number of variables and non-linear equations. The use of Constructive Heuristics is a robust strategy to solve this kind of problems. This present paper proposes a Constructive Heuristic that uses a Non-Linear Programming insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(NLP); solver and a Sensitivity Factor during its solution process. The methodology is applied and compared to a case study. The results are evaluated with variations of the original case.
