Abstract :The infrared spectra as KBr disc of ring substituted acetanilides were recorded. The important bonds were assigned to their modes of vibration. The effects of substituents on thc Amide I, Amide II and 3asy. CH3 are investigated. The free energy relations are given. The results indi- cate the coplanarity of the molecııles.
