Abstract :The synthesis of several 3—substituted--4-hydroxycarbostyrils has been reported in the literatüre, the pharmacology and industrial appli- cation of some of them were also studied [1,6]. However little is known about the synthesis and pharmacology of 4-hydroxycarbostyrils with heterocyclic substituents at the 3-position. We have previously descri- bed the synthesis of some 3-heterocyclic substituted-4-hydroxycar- bostyrils [7,8].
