Abstract :This study describes work on coordination chemistry which was undertaken as part of nitrogen fixation. Dinuclear complexes of suitable structure might be capable of reacting with nitrogen .A possible mononuclear complex could also be favourable. In order to test these idea a number of vvolfram complexes have been prepared and studied. Since a good solvent has not been found they have not been tried for nitrogen fixation.
