Abstract :Karaman ovasının güney kenarı, göl kalkerlerinden müteşekkil dir. Tchihatcheff’i müteakip burasını gezmiş bulunan F. Schaffer , bulduğu fosillere istinaden, Şehrin güneyindeki arazide denizel Miosen teşekküllerinin pek yaygın bir halde olduklarını tesbit etmiş, yalnız güneydeki denizel Mio sen tabakaları ile göl kalkerlerinin stratifikasyonu hakkında aydınlatıcı açık lamalarda bulunmamıştır.
