Abstract :Botulinum toksinin kozmetik uygulamaları çok sık kullanılmaktadır. Gülme esnasında dişetinin 2 mm’ den fazla görünmesi, aşırı gingival görünüm yada gummy smile olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Aşırı hareketli üst dudağın sebep olduğu gummy smile’ ın tedavisinde botulinum toksin kullanımı minimal invaziv ve etkili bir yöntemdir. Bu makalenin amacı aşırı hareketli üst dudağın neden olduğu gummy smile’ dan rahatsız olan 3 hastanın botulinum toksin ile tedavisi hakkında bilgi vermektir. Anahtar kelimeler: Gummy smile, aşırı hareketli üst dudak, botoks, aşırı gingival görünüm   TREATMENT OF GUMMY SMILE USING BOTULINUM TOXIN : 3 CASES REPORTS ABSTRACT   The cosmetic uses of botulinum toxin are the most commonly used of its applications. Excessive gingival display, or a “gummy smile,” is defined as 2 mm or more of gingival exposure upon smiling. Botulinum toxin has shown to be most effective and minimally invasive technique to correct the gummy smile which is caused due to hiper mobile upper lip. The aim of this this article is described where three patients complaining of a gummy smile is treated with Botuli- num toxin to reduce hypermobility of her upper lip.
