Abstract :Aktinomikoz çenelerde nadir görülen kronik, ilerleyici bir enfeksiyon hastalığıdır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Aktinomikoz; Maksillofasiyal enfeksiyon; Ekstraoral abse   ACTINOMYCOSIS: A CASE REPORT ABSTRACT   Aktinomycosis is chronic, progressive, relatively uncommon infection of the jaws. The patient was refered to our department with post operative pain and extraoral abscess, which was not healing, in the left submandibular region after extraction of the impacted wisdom tooth. The final diagnosis was established as actinomycosis consequence of clinical, radiographic and microbiological assessment. Actinomycosis is treated with surgical operation and long-term antibiotic therapy. Patient was treated with abscess drainage, i.m and oral penicilline therapy. After 6 months succesful healing was completely observed in radiographically and clinically. Key Words: Actinonmycosis; Maxillofacial infection; Extraoral abscess
