Abstract :Bu makalede Hz. Peygamber’in sükûtunun anlam muh- tevası ele alınmıştır. Makalede, Hz. Peygamber’in sükû- tunun sebepleri ve hangi anlamlara geldiği delilleriyle birlikte tahlil edilmiştir. Neticede Hz. Peygamber’in sükûtunun, takrîrî sünnetin en önemli araçlarından biri olarak şer’î bir kaynak olduğu, bununla birlikte beşerî münasebetlerde çok çeşitli anlam değerlerini ihtiva et- tiği tespit edilmiştir. Bu husus, sünneti doğru anlamada Hz. Peygamber’in nebevî ve beşerî vasıflarının birlikte değerlendirilmesi gereğini ortaya koymuştur.
