Abstract :Bu çalõşmada, Türkçe +gil eki ve onun kökeni üzerinde durulmuştur. +gil, Türkçedeki tek şekilli eklerden biridir. Eklerdeki tek şekillilik, araştõrmacõlarca çeşitli sebeplere bağlanmõştõr. +gil’in de sonradan ek hâline geldiği düşünülebilir. Çalõşmada, “ev, aile” manasõna gelen Çuvaşça kil ile Türkçedeki +gil ekinin ilişkisi üzerinde durulmuştur
