Abstract :İngiliz dilbilimci, yazar ve akademisyen David Crystal’ın oluşturmuş olduğu bu kitap A Little of Language adıyla ilk kez 2010 yılında Yale University Press tarafından basılmıştır. Bu kitap, 2016 yılında Tufan Göbekçin tarafından Dilin Kısa Tarihi adıyla türkçeye çevrilmiştir. Kitabın ilk basımı, eylül 2018, ikinci basımı ise mart 2019 tarihinde ISBN 978-605-171-717-3 kodu ile Alfa Yayınları tarafından yapılmıştır.
