Abstract :İnsan, doğası gereği sıkıntılı zamanlarında arayış içine girmektedir. Bu arayış, eski huzurlu günlerine geri dönmek için bireyin yaptığı çabalar olarak görülebilir. Bu çaba, toplum açısından da düşünülebilir. Osmanlı Devletinin son döneminde, toplumda hem sosyolojik anlamda hem dinî bakımdan eskinin devamı olan bir kesimin ve bir taraftan da kurtuluşu Batılılaşmada arayan bir neslin varlığı bilinmektedir
