Abstract :Özet Bu çalışmada, demokratik değer kazammında okulların ne gibi rolleri olması gerektiği ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Demokrasinin işlerliği ancak ona gönül veren insanların varlığıyla mümkündür. Bireylerin demokrasi kültürü ve değerlerini benimsemesinde eğitim kurumlarının önemli bir rolünün olduğu herkes tarafından bilinmektedir. Demokratik uygulamaların gerçekleştiği bir okul ortamında, bireylerde istenilen demokratik davranış değişikliklerinin daha kolay kazanılacağı sonucuna varılmıştır. Abstract In this article, it has been pointed out what kind of roles school shoidd play in the acquisition of democratic value. The function of democracy can be made possible only if its admirers exist. It is widely known that educational institutes play crucial role in the individuals\` adoption of democratic culture and values. It has been concluded that in a school environment where the democratic practices materialize, democratic behavioral changes desired in the individuals can easily be acquired.
