Abstract :ÖZET Avrupa\`nın yaşamış olduğu büyük sosyal dönüşümlerden biri de modernizmdir. Modernizm, bir yandan yeni bir hayat, bilim ve felsefe anlayışı olarak ortaya çıkarken bir yandan da her yönüyle yeni bir insan modeli ortaya koymuştur. Modern iten in bu değerlerine en büyük eleştiriler yine kendi içerisinden gelmiştir. Bu eleştirmenlerden biride Jürgen Habermastır. Ona göre, modernizmin bir uzantısı olan kapitalizm, gelişmemiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerde ulusalcılığı ve ulusal kurumları çökertmektedir. Kapitalizm ise bunu ekonomik-siyasal küreselleşmeyle yapmaktadır. Anahtar Sözcükler: J. Habermas, Modernizm, Eleştirel Toplumsal Kuram, Kapitalizm ve Küreselleşme. ABSTRACT Modernism is one of the great social transformations Europa has lived. While modernism appeared as a new understanding in life-style, science and philosophy on the one hand, it has put a totally new human model on the other side. The most severe criticism to the volues of modernity has been within itself. Jürgen Habermas is one of these. To him, capitalism, a extention of modernism., has been demolishing nationalism and national institutions in underdeveloped and developing countries.
