Abstract :Özet Streptococcus sobrinus Streptocccus mutans\`dan sonra insanlarda di   ş plağı ve tükürükden sıklıkla izole edilen bir mutans streptokoklar grubu üyesidir. Yapılan son çalışmalarda bu bakterinin arayüz çürüklerinden sorumlu bir bakteri olabileceğine değinilmekte ve S. mutans \`dan daha fazla çürük yapıcı olabileceği belirtilmektedir. Bu makalede Streptococcus sobrinus bakterisinin diş çürüğü üzerindeki rolü, literatür taraması yapılarak irdelenmiş, ve çalışmaların sonuçları S.sobrinus\`un çürük yapıcı bir bakteri olduğunu ortaya koymuştur.
