Abstract :Özet Dişhekimliğinde fluor; çürük önleyici etkisinden dolayı sistemİk ve topikal olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada asitli ve nötral fluor preparatlannın farklı sürelerde iki değişik yapıdaki porselen yüzeyine uygulayarak oluşturdukları etkileri profilometre ve SEM ile incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, 4 dakika, 1 saat, 24 saat ve 48 saatlik uygulamalarda asidi fluor jelinin oluşturduğu pürüzlülüğün nötral fluor jeli ile oluşan pürüzlülükten fazla olduğu ve aradaki farkların istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu saptanmıştır insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p<0.05);. Bu nedenle, porselen restorasyonların varlığında nötral fluor preparatlannın kullanılması veya uygulama esnasmda porselen yüzeylerinin fluor ile temasmı engelleyici önlemlerin alınması gerekir. Bunun için porselen yüzeyinin vazelin ile korunması sağlanmalıdır. In this research the effect of acidulated phosphate fluoride and neutral sodium fluoride on two different porcelain material for different application periods have been determined by proptometer and SEM. Acidulated phoshate fluoride causes more surface roughness than neutral sodium fluoride, the difference is statistically significant insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p<0.05);. For this reason, during the application of fluoride gels in presence of porcelain restorations, care should be taken to protect the porcelain coming in contact ıviûı the fluoride gel.
