Abstract :Özet Total üst çene rezeksiyonlu maksillektonıüi hastalarda obtüratÖr protez yapımında karşılaşılan en büyük güçlük, yeterli protez desteği ve retansiyon sağlayacak anatomik yapıların olmamasıdır. Obturator proteze defekt içinde ön tarafta burun açıklığına, arkada yumuşak damağın üstüne uzantı yaparak yeterli retansiyon sağlanabilmektedir. Obtüratörün şeffaf akrilikten hazırlanması hijyen ve protezin dokularla olan temasım görme açısından bir üstünlük sağlayacaktır. Anahtar sözcükler: ObtüratÖr protez, total üst çene rezeksiyonu Abstract The main trouble at tlie obturator prostheses procedures with the patients who acquire total maxillectomy is inadequate anatomic structures to provide sufficient retantion and prostfieses support. For the obturator prostheses it is possible to provide adequate retantion with tlie extensions to die inside of the nasal opening and on the remaning pari of the soft\`pale. For the hygienic consideration and better view of contact areas with tissues it is much better to build up the obturator prostheses with transparant acrylic resin materials.
