Abstract :ÖZET Parotis ve çene altı tükrük bezinden salgılanan parotin hormonunun serumun kalsiyum ve fosfat ile asid fosfataz ve alkali fosfataz enzimlerinin miktarlarını anlamlı olarak arttırdığı saptanmıştır. Bu bulgu, parotinin Ca seviyesini direkt olarak fosfatazları aktive etmek suretiyle yükselttiği, artan kalsiyumun da parathormonu inhibe etmesi sonucunda tubuluslardan fosfat reabsorbsiyonunu arttırdığı, siklik AMP nin de azalmasının bu artışta rol oynayabileceği ileri sürülmüştür. SUMMARY The effects of the salivary gland hormone, parotin on serum Ca, P, alcaline and acid phosphatase levels were investigated. There was a significant increased calcium level by having activated phosphatase. It was probable that renal tubular reabsorbtion of phosphate was increased by inhibition of parathormone activity due to increment of serum Ca level. Also decrease of cyclic AMP might be involved in this mechanism.
