Abstract :The article provides a comparative analysis of the doctrines, scientific concepts of various philosophers in the history of philosophy in order to study the main directions of the philosophy of law. In addition, the article describes the characteristics of natural law, theories of legal and social positivism, and the Marxist legal direction. In addition, the study examined the complex, composite, multifaceted and multidimensional problems of the philosophy of law. The work explored various schools and trends in the context of the philosophy of law, and also analyzed the works of modern researchers in the field of legal philosophy. The main attention in the article is drawn to the fact that in the study of legal positivism, among researchers there is no single position on the independence of science in this field.
