Abstract :The article discusses the artistic words used in the works of Abay Kunanbayuly. During the analysis, the poet’s use of words was analyzed according to historical sources, as well as the lexical base of previous poets and their phrases were compared. The poet holds a special place not only in the history of the development of the literary language, but also in the history of Kazakh literature as a whole. This is how the language heritage of Abay Kunanbaev is considered, which is a reflection of the national language and literary artistic word, which underlies its growth and popularity. The author also emphasizes once again that the poet uses the pearls of the national language, introduces them into his poems, demonstrates their new qualities, and his skill, quenches the thirst for knowledge, makes his vocabulary both beautiful and colorful.
