Abstract :The article is devoted to the study of intertextual relations of G. Zhaylybay`s poetry. The role of Abay`s poetry in the formation of the intertext system of Kazakh poetry of the XX century is established. The influence of A. Kunanbayev`s works on modern poets is considered. The verses of Abai and Galym Zhaylybay were compared to determine the accord, internal connections at different levels. The artistic and aesthetic features of the collection of poetry of Zhaylybay «Ardakuren» are revealed. The intertextual functions of addresses and dedications of the modern poet are justified, and the place and meaning of quotations, reminiscences of pastiches, palimsests in the poems of G. Zhailybay are also indicated. Semantic and semiotic aspects of the concepts «cliff» and «echo» are defined.
