Abstract :The main purpose of this research is to explore the tales that are found in elementary school textbook reading. During the research, the materials will present by percentage calculations. Researching work is a descriptive work based on the method of document analysis. The primary school textbooks were used as a data collection tool. The researching determined the number of topics in the textbooks and the kinds of fairy tales in each topic, the classification of fairy tales in to types, the types and quantity of fairy tales tasks and visual aids.
