Abstract :One of the traditions that is peculiar only to the Kazakh people is the tradition of «Sal-Seri». Where do the roots of true art, which was clearly expressed in the middle of the XIX century, come from? What contribution did the masters of art who gave a special tone to the art of the nomadic people, who have the title «Sal-Seri», make to the tradition of the steppe? The purpose of this article is to take into account the thoughts of our leading scientists, to explore the mysterious world of Sal-Seri more deeply. There were many skilled Seri masters in the Western region of Kazakhstan. One of them was Zakaria Sagyndykuly, whose «Seri» features were studied in this article. In addition, the names of Kazakh universal masters «Sal» and «Seri» were considered, and the features of this manifestation and the reasons for the inheritance of this tradition through the centuries.
