Abstract :Abstract: This article deals with the art of quotation in the Turkish literature. The study consists of two parts. The first part examines dictionary and terminological meanings of the quotation. The second part includes the art of quotation in the Turkish literature. Afterwards the examples of the art of quotation were presented from the Turkish literature. Keywords: Quotation, Turkish literature, the Holy Quran, poetry, prose. Öz: Bu makalenin amacı Türk edebiyatında iktibas sanatını ele almaktır. Çalışma iki bölümden meydana gelmektedir. Birinci bölümde iktibas sanatının sözlük ve terim anlamı incelenmiş, ikinci bölümde ise Türk edebiyatında iktibas sanatına yer verilmiş, devamında Türk şiirinden iktibas örnekleri sunulmuştur.
