Abstract :Tanıtımını yaptığımız bu kitap, Paris’ten başlayıp Osmanlı İstanbul’unda sona eren ve yazarının, özellikle dönemin İstanbul’una dair izlenimlerini teorik bazı bilgilerle çok geniş ve ayrıntılı olarak bir araya getirdiği kıymetli bir seyahatnamedir. Son dönem Osmanlı İstanbul’u üzerine çalışan ve seyahatnamelerden istifade etmenin gereğinden şüphe etmeyen araştırmacılar için José María Servet’in bu gezi rehberi niteliğindeki eseri Osmanlı sosyal hayatına dair geniş ve kapsamlı bir bakış açısı sunacak niteliktedir.
