Abstract :By the late 1800’s the rise of exhibition of fi ne arts especially the mixed group exhibits became more visible in the Ottoman World. Accordingly art critics on newspapers, comments on artists’ works and other discussions about the role and the responsibility of the state in order to support the art and also the artists prominently increased. This paper aims to point out the development process of the etiquette of organization of fi ne arts exhibition in Ottomans and also to understand the role of local artists and local press.
