Abstract :Muradiye Mevlevihanesi, which was among the significant dervish lodges of Edirne, was located on a high hill in the backyard of Muradiye Mosque. The building, whose date of construction is unknown, is thought to have been erected by Mimar Şehabettin during the reign of Murad II. This Mevlevihane once consisted of a mosque, sheikh hall, harem apart, dervish halls, senior dervish rooms, alms house, tomb, library, fountain, school and grave. However, it now comprises of only the mosque, fountain and grave. Along with other dervish lodges, it was closed down in 1925 and pulled down in 1935.
