Abstract :It is very well known that after Prophet Muhammad?s death there was a controversy about ruling the State. This was not just about the State but it also implied the unity of Muslim community. With the assassination of caliph Osman, many things changed and political problems and those of religious started to be painted with the same brush. At this time, many political school like Shi?a had their initial steps. And as a crucial figure Ali, the son in-law of Prophet Muhammad, was on the focus of all these debates and strains. The following paper discusses the schools and their theories that were shaped under these debates.
