Abstract :This paper is about the book which is written by Janne Matilla "(The Eudaimonist Ethics of al-Fārābī and Avicenna, Leiden: Brill, 2022, 256 pages)”. This work written by Matilla revolves around the comparative analysis of two eminent philosophers of Islamic Philosophy. Matilla adopts partially the method that emerges in the literature about Islamic Philosophy. Therefore, the results that the author reaches are unique contributions to the literature. Because this method is not applied completely, some problems of interpretation are seen in the work.
