Abstract :Negative expressions in Korean grammar are adverbs of negativity that emerge by classifying adverbs, one of the nine-word types, according to their meanings. Negative adverbs that adversely affect the meaning of the predicate in the sentence are divided into two as `안/an/` and `못/mot/`. In Turkish grammar, the meaning of negation is given by the negation suffix -mA and it is examined as suffixes to the verb type from word types. The Turkish equivalent of the negative adverb `안/an/` in Korean is provided with the suffix -mA. The negative adverb ‘못/mot/` is examined as the negative of the verb of competence. The negative of the verb proficiency is processed as a branch of the compound verbs in the Turkish verb structure. In the study, first of all, in order to understand the adverbs of negativity, which are negative expressions in Korean, the subject of adverbs will be briefly explained, and then it will be discussed with examples of adverbs of negativity. Then, the subject of the negative suffix –mA and the negative of the adequacy verb, which are the equivalents of Korean negation adverbs in Turkish grammar, will be tried to be discussed with the help of sample sentences. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the similarities and differences between the two languages by comparatively examining the Turkish equivalents of the `안/an/` and `못/mot/` negation adverbs in Korean in terms of the grammatical and semantic aspects.
