Abstract :The Mediterranean Sea is considered an aquatic biodiversity hotspot that hosts approximately 782 fish species and 72 of them are categorized as endemic. However, non-native species introductions that are of natural or human-mediated origin have posed a major threat to the biodiversity of the Mediterranean Sea which is showing high rates of endemism. Here, we represent historical and recent updated data alien insert ignore into journalissuearticles values( Champsodon nudivittis, Nemipterus randalli, Pterois miles, Scarus ghobban, Scomberomorus commerson);, neonative insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Seriola fasciata, Sphoeroides pachygaster ); fishes spreading on the Aegean Sea.
