Abstract :Study was conducted to examine the effect of soil (0, 4 and 8 g B tree-1), leaf (0, 200 and 400 mg kg-1 B) and soil+leaf applications of boron (B) on boron and some mineral nutrients and some yield parameters of walnut. For this, leaf and kernel macro and micro element concentrations were determined. On the other hand, nut dry weight, kernel weight, kernel ratio, nut width and length were measured. Results of study indicated that B applications showed a variable effect on leaf and fruit nutrient concentrations. Leaf B concentrations increased with the B applications up to 221 mg kg-1. Compared to other treatments, soil+leaf application was the most effective treatments on leaf B concentrations. However, nut B concentrations were not affected by B applications. Leaf N, Ca, Mg, Fe and Mn concentrations were positively affected by B treatments and increased compared to the control. On the other hand, K and Ca concentrations of the fruit increased with B treatments, while the other nutrients were generally not affected. Fruit yield and quality parameters were not affected from B applications. Considering the above results, especially in soils with sufficient B content, B fertilization should be re-evaluated to avoid unnecessary costs and some potential negative effects. Keywords : Bor, gübreleme yöntemleri, bitkiler, meyve verimi ve kalitesi
