Abstract :Sembolizmin anlam ve düşünceye önem veren yapısı biçimselliği aşarak kavramsal sanata giden yolun açılmasına sebep olmuştur. Böyle bir akımın Türk resmindeki yansımalarını analiz eden bu çalışmada öncelikle sembolizmin gelişim süreci ve akımın önde gelen sanatçıları irdelenmiş, devamında da Türk resminde var olan sembolist ressamlar araştırılarak bu akımın ülkemizdeki durumu ele alınmıştır
