Abstract :The Mevlevi Order, which emerged in Konya towards the end of the 13th century, is a religious order that arouses the curiosity of, and is followed quite closely by, many people from all around the world, both for its philosophy and for its performance rituals Although 750 years have passed since the death of Mevlana, the culture and traditions of the Mevlevis are kept alive not only in Turkey but in different countries of the world. In Germany, Mevlevism attracts the interest of people of Turkish origin, but also people of other ethnic origins, and its traditions continue in both traditional and modern interpretations. The Mevlevi Association in Nuremberg, which is one of the two Mevlevi centers in Germany, has been operating since 1990 with the aim of preserving the Mevlevi tradition, while at the same time establishing dialogues between different cultures. The purpose of this article is to examine the Nuremberg Mevlevi Tekke (lodge) in Germany from historical, cultural and artistic perspectives. I will provide information about the establishment and development of the Nuremberg Mevlevi Tekke. And I will also try to provide information about the Mevlevi Sema ritual and about the music performed both in the lodge and in public places, referring to established published scholarship, as well as to my own field research.
