Abstract :There is not a single critical study of Ottoman rebellions that encompasses the entire history and genealogy of uprisings in the Ottoman Empire for the time period between 1550 and 1821. Moreover, there has been almost no attempt at all to construct an explanatory template for “rebellions” in the Ottoman context, either.
