Abstract :This article comparatively analyzed the contribution of the “Dordoi” market and gold mining company “Kumtor”, which are be considered the main locomotives of the Kyrgyz economy in the country`s socio-economic development. As a result, it was found that in many indicators the contribution of “Dordoi” is much higher than that of the “Kumtor”. On employment 20 times, on exports 1.5-2 times, on added value about 2 times and on the contribution to the state budget is about 1.5-2 times. It should be noted that the analysis was based on approximate calculations by the World Bank specialists. From this it can be concluded that the main problem is the lack of accounting and systematic statistics of the “Dordoi” market.
