Abstract :Analyzing the relationship between foreign trade and economic growth is considered to be as one of the actual issues. The main purpose of this work is to investigate whether there is a causal relationship between foreign trade and economic development in Kyrgyzstan’s economy or not. It has been employed Granger causality test to the annual data for the period of 1990 to 2014. According to the results, there is a causal relationship from foreign trade to economic development. In addition, the results of the investigation were proven with the help of spatial econometrics. Thus, it can be claimed that foreign trade play a significant role in the economic development of the country.
