Abstract :The health care of the Kyrgyz Republic during the transition period was characterized by low levels of funding, a shadow health care market, an inefficient structure and the prevalence of expensive inpatient treatment. The article explores the formation of a market model for financing the industry during the transition period, in the absence of government regulation. Reform of the health care system in the Kyrgyz Republic is accompanied by improvements in the forms and methods of financing the industry; a new mechanism for financing medical services is being introduced.
