Abstract :The theme of women in the public sector in the article were considered. The main problem is the underrepresentation of women at government level. The purpose of the study is conduct comparative analyses of the situation of women in the public service in Kyrgyz Republic and foreign countries, to study the main barriers that preclude the inclusion of women in public service. The survey showed that in many countries factors are similar in women’s underrepresentation in political and public life. Following research undertaken a number of arguments to promote good practices of foreign countries on gender policy, the necessity of the state educational programme for women has been proved theoretically, proposed recommendations for women’s representation in public service.
