Abstract :The academic performance of university students depends on many factors. In order to understand the current situation and improve the success of university students, it is important to understand the factors that affect academic performance. In this respect, this study was conducted to investigate the factors that influence the academic performance of students studying at a state university in Kyrgyzstan. The study has a mixed structure that combines both quantitative and qualitative perspectives. Quantitative data were obtained from students through a survey and qualitative data were obtained from students through the implementation of interviews. According to the results, six factors had a significant impact on the academic achievement of university students. These factors are named as financial issues, university facilities, administrative facilities, dormitory facilities, health facilities, and social facilities. These factors show differences with respect to the demographic characteristics of students. In the context of this study, students also indicated their problems related to each of these factors.
