Abstract :Çeşitli spor dallannda sporculann beceri düzeylerinin yi/dan yıla artması ve atletik rekodarln yüksek seviyelere ulaşması spor dünyasında başan ve başansrzlik arasındaki Sintri giderek küçültüyor. Bu nedenle antrenör ve sporcular gerekli başanyı sa~lamanm küçük sınırlarda olduğunu görüyodar. Çoğu sporcu olası bütün kötü sonuçlan ne olursa olsun performanslarmı biraz artırmak amacıyla bazı maddeleri elenerler. Bu çalışmada çeşitli ergojenik özeffiklere sahip oldu~u öne sürülen farmakolojik ajanlar incelenecektir.   SUMMARY The skill levels of athletes in various sport improve from year to year. Ahtleöc records reach new height, and the margin between success and fai/ure in the world of sport becomes smailer. Consequently, both coaches and aht/etes look for that sfight edge that might ensure victory. Many tum to potantial ergogenic aidssubstances or phenomena that enhance performance. Some of these potantial aids can benetit performance, but others can have deadly consequances. In this chapter, we wiJ/ exemine various pharmacological agents that have been proposed to have ergogenic propertes.
