Abstract :Societies that must continue to exist must keep their sexual and social relations alive. In this context, societies need to reconcile themselves with the biological facts of gender. Although there are differences between countries (societies), codes of femininity and masculinity are generally established within the social order. The established codes have been disseminated in all spheres and have been accepted by individuals, thus facilitating legitimation. In this context, the study is a general evaluation for Turkish cinema, especially to understand how gender roles are reflected in cinema and the impact of these reflections on social norms and values. Gender roles in Turkish cinema 50 years ago and today, and the social and cultural changes that have taken place between these periods. A literature-based assessment of how this has been reflected in cinema. How female characters were represented within the framework of gender studies and feminist theory of the period, their social roles, power dynamics and how these representations have evolved over time, as well as the responsibilities of male characters, their strengths, and weaknesses, and how their social roles have taken place in cinema from the past to the present. Keywords : Türk Sineması, Gelin -Düğün- Diyet, Toplumsal Cinsiyet
