Abstract :The study aims to compare factors influencing happiness in Türkiye during the pandemic and post-pandemic periods. To do this, data from the Life Satisfaction Survey were divided into two separate timeframes: 2020-2021 and 2022-2023. The generalised ordered logistic regression method was used for analysis. The findings show that in the post-COVID-19 period, only satisfaction with Social Security Institution services and having people available for help positively affect happiness. During the pandemic, lower income and the need to purchase cheaper products negatively impacted happiness, while positive employment expectations had no significant effect. Common factors affecting happiness in both periods include satisfaction with health, optimistic outlooks, having a child, satisfaction with social relationships, and marital status. The study demonstrates that the COVID-19 pandemic differentially influenced the determinants of happiness in Türkiye.
