Abstract :In this paper, the relationship between the employment and the technological development is determined. Technological development affects employment both positively and negatively. It is the common goal of the countries to direct this effect positively. The study examined the relationship between the employment rate and two variables, R&D expenditures and the number of patents (resident and non-resident), representing technological development indicators, with the data for the 2004-2019 period in Türkiye. Linear regression and Bayesian regression analysis have been used as the methodology. As a result of the study, it has been determined that there is a positive and significant relationship between technological development indicators and employment. Studies in this field can provide precious contributions to helping countries plan employment.
