Abstract :In order to reduce the requirement of waste eliminating and environmental pollution, recycling seems to be a suitable solution. In this study, polyester fibers with three different number of filament insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(36, 48 and 72 filaments); and two different fiber cross section form insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(round and plus); were spun from rPET polymer and texturised on an industrial scale. rPET yarns were used as a weft yarn in woven fabric production. Fabric performance properties such as weight, breaking, tearing and seam strength, breaking elongation, abrasion resistance and air permeability were analysed and compared with virgin PET fabrics. In literature, production of spun yarn with rPET fibers was widely studied due to the importance of recycling and usage of rPET fibers in the textile sector. With this study, it was provided to present various findings about the effect of different polymer type and rPET fiber properties on various woven fabric properties.Keywords : recycle polyester, textile waste, sustainability, plastic waste, woven fabric properties
