Abstract :Özet: Bölgesel dengesizlik sorunu sanayi devriminden günümüzde her zaman var olagelmiş bir olgudur Diğer faktörlerin yanı .sıra dengesizliğin gelişiminde uygulanan ekonomi politikaları da oldukça önemli rol oynamaktadır. Bu açıdan 1980 sonrasında Türkiye\`nin dışa açık ekonomi politikalar izlemesiyle birlikte Ege Bölgesi ve Denizli ili gelişme süreci geçirirken, Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi ve Erzurum ili gerileme süreci yaşamaktadır. Çalışmada, bölgesel dengesizliğin belirleyicileri karşılaştırmalı olarak verilmiş ve bu süreçte etkin olan faktörler ele alınmaya çalışılmıştır.   Abstract: Regional disparity problem is a long-lasting dvent from industrial revolution to the present day in almost every country. However, economic policies carried out as well as other factors have played an important role in regional disparity process. As a result of the open-eeonomy policies followed in Turkey since 1 980, the Aegean Region and the province of Denizli, a part of the region, have been experiencing a rapid development process while the East Anatolia Region and the province of Erzurum, one of the most important cities of the region, have been experiencing a worsening process. In this study, the determinants of regional disparity process were examined comparatively.
