Abstract :Özet: Bu çalışmada ELES modeli kullanılarak, Türkiye`de kırsal vc kentsel kesimlerde bölgelere göre gelir, fiyat ve tasarruf esneklik tahminleri bulunarak tüketici davranış kalıpları analiz edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Kırsal ve kentsel bölgelerde marjinal tüketim eğiliminin çok değişken ve önemli ölçüde kliçük değerlere sahip olduğu bulunmuştur. Kırsal ve kentsel ayrımında gelir, fiyat ve tasarruf esneklik tahminleri kır-kent farkını yansıtacak şekilde değerler vermiştir. Ineelenen malların hepsi normal mal, yalsıızea Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesi kırsal kesiminde eğitim düşük mal görünümündedir. Tasarruflar her iki kesimde de yiyecek mal grubu fiyatları karşısında çok esnektir.   Abstract: This paper analyses the household consumption and saving pallerns for the urban and the rural sectors in Turkey by estimating income, price and saving elasticities for ten commodity groups by applying Lluch`sthe ELES to the data of the 1994 Household Consumption Expenditures Survey. Estimates of the marginal propensity to consume in the rural and the urban sectors are extremely varied and often much too low. Differences between the rural and the urban sectors, are appeared in the income, price and saving elasticities rather than ihe marginal budget shares and the marginal propensity to consume, hi two the sectors commodity groups are normal commodity, but in the rural sector of South Eastern Anatolia region, the education commodity group is an inferior goods. A strong negative correlation between inflation and household saving has been indieated by the results. The savings are sensitive with respect to prices of food commodity groups, especially in the rural sector.
